Igesund said he had chosen his squad for the clash against La Roja with an eye on the future . Kaizer Chiefs Reneilwe Letsholonyane, 31, was probably the biggest surprise omission from the squad. Defending his choices, Igesund said: With all due respect, players who are 30 now are not the future of this team. Rooi Mahamutsa is the best player in the country at the moment, but he is not going to be playing in [the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco]. Mahamutsa, along with his Pirates team-mate Lennox Bacela, are both in their early 30s. Igesund has selected them for the team that will take on Swaziland in Mbabane next Friday. Letsholonyane is also in that squad, but the three are not part of the bigger picture Igesund has planned for Bafana.
