Im a bit irritated this evening knowing there are certain pieces of equipment I need for my safety and a certain organization cannot afford a 40 dollar battery because there is no more money in the equipment budget. But they said "you can go buy it, heres the place and quote, and just tell them where you work so you get the discount." But yet im not supposed to accept discounts and if it causes another issue with my issued (pun much??!) equipment im liable. Just a bit irked is all.....and hugely confused on where the heck so much money can go that a multi-million dollar a year organization cannot afford a 40 dollar battery but my 40k a year pay (before the taxes and health care...) can afford it.
