Im fired up about my new creative writing workshop, ROAD! Ill be debuting this new workshop with my friends in Virginia next week: ROAD (The Wind, the Road, & the Way) *NEW! All ROADs Lead to Books! Jenny will discuss her process to develop a book from beginning to end, from writing to publishing. She uses the acrostic as well as metaphor of following a road to reach the destination, which is her underlying theme with Paul in The Wind, the Road, and the Way. Route (mapping out a story, developing an outline from point A to Point B), Obstacles (writer’s block, finding information, distractions and dead ends), Attractions (fun things to see along the road for the writer as well as the reader) and Destination (editing, illustrations, typesetting, advance readers, publishing, and distribution for a new book). As students journey along the ROAD with Jenny, they’ll see how they can use these same principles for their writing projects.
