Im so sick right now I cant keep this in! There has been a lot of talk lately about apps like yikyak, which I agree are awful and will not allow my kids to have them, but one of our kids greatest influences on how we treat others is us as parents! If we stoop to a childish level of publicly running down another person, and a kid at that, the lesson learned is that it is perfectly acceptable for our kids to do the same. Good grief! Believe me, I am not a perfect parent, and there have been SO many times Ive wanted to let my fingers do the talking on here! However, I have kids that are watching and learning how to handle situations. I make a lot of mistakes, but I do hope that Ive taught them that the way to treat others isnt by public humiliation. Sometimes social media is so bad and so disgusting it makes me just ill, it also makes me wonder where these kids have learned to treat others the way they do! My kids are worth way more than to teach them to be negative and down right mean! Facebook is awesome, but sometimes we humans are not...that is all, now back to my Pollyanna, sunshine, and lemons into lemonade, happy snappy kinda life!
