In the small country town I come from, when someone dies of natural causes, accident or even murder, we take food and paper plates to the familys homes, help them with their chores, let their kids play at our house while they make funeral arrangements and/or give them money to help with expenses. We send flowers to decorate the grave or a plant for them to take home. We sometimes even give money to their favorite charity in rememberance of the lost loved one. The local merchants pitch in and the churches host a dinner after the funeral for the family so they dont have to worry about the mess or expense of feeding everybody. It is apparently different in big cities so I want someone to explain something to me. How does beating up strangers, robbing stores and destroying someones property help a mourning family?
