Indeed I was on fan-girl mode. I too was on a nationalism and patriotism overload. Who wouldnt be after an intimate session with Sec.Alunan, Sen.Saguisag, Sen. Mercado, Chairman Monsod, Chairman Leon III Flores and Dr. Edna Co, among others?:) After being in a session with a wealth of ideas about country with some of those whove served the before, listening to their thoughts and exchanging ideas on how to make our brand of democracy work, No I am not feeling hopeless now nor am I stuck in that feeling of despair considering the caliber of those who now sit (compared to those of years past)... Rather, I have fallen in love all over again with the Filipino and our beautiful Perlas ng Silangan. Ours is a great nation with a great people. Whether it goes to the dogs or becomes heaven on earth is entirely up to us. We just need to step up. (Tara, usap tayo!) #Bayankongmahal
