Indias National Security is outsourced to VIF. This foundation has not revealed the names of top financial contributors (a serious security risk for the country). Looks like a bunch of unemployable pensioners on the prowl for post-retirement jobs. Now, some of them have got on-shore postings with PMO. There is a story doing the rounds among NRIs that Ex-RAW defector Ranbir Singh (now living in USA) has/had links with this group. If this is not true, I challenge this motley group to use their intelligence to trace Ranbir Singh and haul him before an Indian court. This will be an acid test . The VIF’s alleged links with the RSS has come in handy for Modi’s critics. Sangh leaders regularly visit the VIF, while RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and BJP leader LK Advani actively engage with it. Recently, Bhagwat was at the VIF to release former diplomat OP Gupta’s book Defining Hindutva. Since the VIF emerged out of the Vivekananda Kendra, critics believe it would be a mistake to consider the VIF separate from the RSS.
