Information Pack – 50/50 Challenge 2014. Hello Guys (and Gals) and welcome to the 2014 50/50 Challenge. Please find some details below that you may find of use and may help make the weekend a little more pleasant… Dates of Events Saturday 30th to Sunday 31st August 2014 Times of Event 07:30 - Arrive at Brighton Pier on Saturday 30th August. Mayor of Brighton will be available to start us off. (Leave at 08:00) N.B. For those driving and needing free parking, this is available at Timewatch Offices, Manor Farm Business Centre, Poynings – BN45 7AG (local taxi available on 01273 447474) 18:00 to 19:00 - Arrive at Lakeside Holiday Park. Food and drinks will be available and accommodation will be setup (12 x 12) 07:30 - Sunday 31st August. Leave Lakeside Holiday Park to start second leg. 16:00 - Sunday 31st August. Arrive at Ship Inn, Havant. The Mayor of Havant will be in attendance with local press. 18:00 – Depart. A coach will be available to take the Yompers back to Brighton and Crawley We have our event in both ITV Meridian and BBC South diaries, so all being well we should get a good coverage. What to Wear Rig (Dress of the day) Green Pattern Camouflage Trousers (or similar) 50/50 Sponsored T-Shirt (Available to pre order) Suitable walking boots (Insoles) Bergen What to bring (in your Bergen) Sleeping bag Spare clothes (for evening and wet weather) Spare footwear Washing gear Toothbrush (Sterident for the older ones) Water (for the route) Snacks (for the route) Medical/Physio Cover Medical Cover is available for the full two days of the challenge, if any Yomper has any illness (Hay Fever, Diabetes etc) we need to know beforehand – Please email me at reflectionsofwar@gmail Physio will be available at Lakeside Holiday Park and the Ship Inn on completion… Injuries If an injury occurs during the Yomp we will endeavour to sort it out with the limited kit we will carry. If we cannot deal with it then please call HUGH on – 07729048015 and a vehicle will come and pick you up. There are also support vehicles available on the day. Lost If you find yourself separated from the group and cannot follow the route map (given on the day) then please call Chris Falcke on – 07540 985533 and he will come and find you.
