If each cultural foundation codex (genetic, (con) textual authority, and exemplar-leadership (messianic) templates) consistently, constantly informs the behavioral variance spectrum of its adherents/culture there will be marginal or no change to the nature of human experience because what is discovered is discovered through the cultural codex lens and will be reinterpreted even at times completely counter to ‘fact’ to align to that vision. Knowledge simply does not matter old or new – it is not in the end the individual who decides it is the culture within which they are situated. There is plenty of old and new knowledge in terms of enabling the maximized independence of a person so they can achieve a flourishing life in security and peace - yet what is happening? What happened on Egyptian streets? What is happening on many others - security improving or not? Free will: Free there is no such thing. Will is a culturally defined artifact. The relative will you apply to anything will be squarely founded in a cultural behavioral variance and be applied to that which the culture has enabled – yes there may be outliers (more enabled for good or evil in some cultures than others) and you may be one of them. My view is you are promoting a dangerous ideology – why do you think this is? It has to do with the fact you are seller of false hope that ‘knowledge’ will save humanity from its cultural self, somehow the individual will be able to achieve an impossible state ‘free’ which diverts political attention from the real problem humanity faces what cultures can inform despite the ever present liberal moderate situated within a secular or religious construct – I would hope you are right but alas I do not think so. You propose critical thinking will ride across the hill and save the day, my view is such thinking will lose the day because you are not dealing with cultural constructs whose codex allows such reflection internally let alone with outside entities.
