Interesting, I had the t.v. on earlier this morning while getting ready to head out and this woman had her son on a morning show and he had Autism. She expressed how her son was really closed off from the world, not really able to interact with others and how Siri, (Apples intelligent personal assistant) had helped to break open a barrier. She went on to explain how this robotic voice had also assisted in opening her child up, and expressed how that 30 minutes out of the day this young boy could really open up and learn things from Siri. To my surprise it was all the rave! There had been blogs apparently about this being such a breakthrough in the world for those with autism. I find it interesting and you can kind of perceive the direction in which the world is heading in, with transhumanism and the relationships we develop in such a strained way with technology we are becoming a world very much detached from real human interaction, whereas a young child would rather communicate with an inanimate object and feel more comfortable than with a human being. We dont take the time any more to interact as we should as living, breathing, feeling beings. Most of the time our heads are often buried in some device, were preoccupied often doing multiple things. Weve forgotten how to listen, how to be genuine, we dont know what love truly is because its hidden behind devices, feelings are cold, contrived and often shallow. This is indeed, not what we were created to be or how we were created to live. May YAHUAH (GOD) have mercy on us.
