It has been a week since Bear moved in with me and his improvement has been remarkable. He plays much more and doesnt hide whenever I come out on the back deck. He still cowers when I go to pet him but he lets me without problem even, occasionally, rolling onto his back for belly rubs. He came into the house on his own the other night but still seems uncomfortable while indoors even though he did wander around the kitchen and back door area yesterday. He had not been leaving the rug by the back door previously. I have been bringing him in for short periods then letting him back out so he doesnt feel like he is being trapped inside. Except for the one night he has been spending the night outside though. I do not want to try to force him to stay indoors against his will yet. All in all, though, a great week of progress in my opinion. This photo is out on the back deck this AM again snuck through the back door blinds as he hates having anything pointed at him.
