It has come to my attention that people are considering juicing while pregnant!! That is a fabulous way to get micro-nutrients to you and the baby. Here are some TIPS for juicing through these nine months: GO organic. This will just help you reduce being exposed to toxins. (Studies have shown that exposure to toxins in the fetus through foods affects memory and learning abilities in children) Do NOT do a juice fast while you’re pregnant! During a juice fast your body is releasing toxins into your bloodstream in efforts to dispose of them. This is not a good environment for the belly baby. Anyways, caring for the unborn and detoxing will be really tough on you and your body. JUICE often. To get the best amount of nutrients, juicing can help. Juicing is an awesome way to get concentrated nutrients without all the extra calories. Do juice once or twice a day with your other meals. This will give you and the baby more vitamins like vitamins C and A. juicing citrus fruits, strawberries, red peppers, broccoli, carrots. You can increase your folic acid intake by juicing leafy greens and beets. You can also boost your iron by juicing your dark leafy greens. Used herbs like Ginger in your juices. It can help with morning sickness, and helps with the gas and constipation. Juice is kept in an air tight sealed container if not taken in immediately. (I do not claim to be an expert.
