It is with hope the strangers who blessed my family with tickets to the county fair sees this post. The smile on my grandsons face is but a glimpse of the joy their act of random kindness brought to our day! Our Fourth of July started on a disheartening note. My military daughter, her son, and I had started our day by having breakfast together. The restraunt was packed and not one patron or staff had acknowledged her presence. We, along with Dawdi, were all to go to the county fair together in celebration of our nations independence. However, my daughter has not been well and chose to spend the day getting much needed rest. Dawdi and I took my grandson to the fair. As we were walking in toward the gate a younger couple approached me and the woman asked if I was in the military. I was wearing my military hat with Army Mom patch on the back. I told her no, I had three children who were Army. She stretched out her hand offering us three free tickets to enter the fair and thanked me for my sacrifice. I didnt know what to say as my thoughts were spinning as I was trying to swallow a lump that was rising throat while holding back tears. I choked out a feeble thank you as she smiled and walked away. These strangers will never know the magnitude of joy their kindness brought to my family. My grandsons face in these pictures show but a glimpse as photos cant capture his squeals of delight and laughter! Financially we were able to do more for my grandson then what we were initially able to do. For myself, my hope for humanity has been rekindled. Thank you ♡♡♡
