It must be so uncool for the foreign press and governments to side with a mob equipped with smartphones. I think it is understandable to sympathize with the poor innocent villagers by the bus load who were taken to the capital to fight for democracy. Look beyond them and see the scheming cruel people who deliberately put these poor people in harms way to protect their personal interests. Look at the hard facts that democracy is about check and balance, that a government that deems itself unaccountable has lost its righteousness.
