It was a wonderful service today at the cenetaph in Maple Ridge. Complete with army vehicles, a beautiful RCMP riding a horse with a maple leaf cut into its hair, amazing individuals marching, singing, playing bagpipes, a bugle, drums. Poetry and prayers. Veterans and little scouts and girl guides, cadets and our own emergency responders. I am always proud of our country. Oh Canada makes me cry every time. To think about the young men and women that have fought for our freedom, humbles me and always brings me to tears. Thank you, I will never forget.
