It’s “Papa’s Brag Bag” time !!! Oh my, my…..”Nate Dog” had one fantastic weekend of exciting, heart stopping, unbelievable, fast and furious motocross racing!!!!! Yep, two days of exciting Championship point counting racing at MPX. All the top racers were there with My Main Man looking to take home more points toward that Championship title. Yes sir…this Papa is very proud to say that My #1 Man, the “Mr Nate Dog” is one of the top three racers. Like I said fans, two days of exciting racing with “Nate Dog” suiting up Saturday for two classes, the 85 Senior and the exciting Super Mini. Grammy and I were disappointed that we were not able to be there on Saturday but My Main Man and the Orange Tornado were the talk of the track. When the dust settled back on the track after a full day of Championship racing My #1 Man showed all the fans what makes this Motocross sport so exciting and finished third overall in the 85 senior class and sixth overall in the super!!!!! Congratulations “Nate Dog”!!!! As the sun was rising on Sunday and after picking up the traditional race track donuts, Grammy and I could not get to the track fast enough, we don’t want to miss one moment of watching and cheering on our #1 Man. Like Saturday “Nate Dog” was entered in two classes, 85 senior and the best of the best Super Mini. The first race was the senior class, WOW!! you can tell when the Championship points are on the line, the fastest and best were at the gate wanting to grab those points!! My #1 Man was right there with them, elbows high and throttle pegged waiting to unleash the Orange Tornado as soon as that gate even looked like it’s gonna drop. BAAM!!!! The gate dropped and the Orange Tornado came to life, lifting its front tire and spraying a dirt roostertail from its back, it streaked towards the hole shot but got boxed in and came out of the hole at mid pack. But the excitement was just beginning, we watched as “Nate Dog” twisted the throttle and piloted that Orange Fire Ball around turns, up and down straight a ways passing everyone in their way to an exciting third place finish. Now that’s some goooooooood racing!!! Way to go “Nate”!!!!! The second moto of the day was the Super Mini, the fastest racers and the fastest bikes were lined up eagerly waiting to show the crowd there skillful riding. As the best of the best were lined up at the gate they all knew that My Main Man, the “Mr Nate Dog” was at the track and ready to do some racing!!! As the gate dropped no one was disappointed, we watched as the Orange Tornado once again let out a loud roar, lifted its front tire and in an orange blur raced toward the hole shot. Unfortunately My Main Man and the tornado got tied up in a crowd and came out of the hole shot in about eighth place. But all of Nate Dog’s fans know the race has just begun. And indeed the Motocross Man Man showed us what racing is all about. He came out of the hole at full throttle and had the Orange Tornado burning down the first straight into the back turn, through the turn, around the curve and up over the first jump cashing in some of those frequent flyer miles!!! All four laps My #1 Man was challenging riders at every turn and jump. At the end of the fourth lap My Main Man, the “Nate Dog” crossed the line with a fourth place finish. Wow!! that was some pretty impressive riding “Nate Dog”, from back in the pack to up with the leaders, “WOW!!!!!” After a short break in the action to get something to eat, drink and talk strategy with Dad the Crew Chief, My Main Man was suited up and ready. The Crew Chief had the Orange Tornado washed, gassed and fine tuned ready for the afternoon moto’s. First on the docket was the 2nd moto for the 85 senior class, once again there were 15 front tires rubbing the gate, waiting for the slightest movement. The gate drops and those tires fly off the ground and start heading for the hole shot. All you see is a blur of red, blue, yellow, green and our favorite color…the Orange Tornado… as they race toward the narrow and that hole shot in a haze of blue exhaust. “Nate Dog” came out of the hole in sixth and took aim at the yellow Suzuki as he powered his way up the first straight. By the second lap My #1 Man had worked his way into third place just ahead of the Yamaha, Yea “Nate Dog”!!!!! We watched My Main Man fight off all challengers and hold onto the third spot all through the third lap. The forth lap had the Yamaha right on “Nate’s” rear tire when the Orange Tornado bogged down at the table top and we watched the Yamaha sneak by the Tornado. When the checkered flag came out My #1 Man, “Nate Dog” was ½ length back to grab fourth place. Finishing third overall!! That was some fantastic riding, good job “Nate Dog”!!!!!!!!! The last moto for the day was the final in the Super Mini!! “Nate Dog” and the rest of the best were at the gate, elbows up, eyes glued on the starters number card, throttles pegged anticipating the gate to drop. 30 – 15 – side ways – drop!!! The gate goes down and 15 of the most skilled 85 riders unleash the fury of their powerful machines. “Nate Dog” and the Tornado shot out of the gate headed toward the hole shot but today has not been My Main Man’s day for hole shots. Once again he was boxed in and rounded the hole in the back third. But “Nate Dog”, My #1 Man, the Motocross Mad Man is not gonna let a little set back like being back in the pack stop him from showing the crowd just what a fantastic, skillful rider he is!! We all watched with pride as the “Nate Dog” threaded his way around rider after rider and by the finish of the first lap My Main Man went from back of the pack to fifth place. The third lap “Nate Dog” was challenging the blue Yamaha showing him his front tire at every turn. We all watched as the Orange Tornado and “the Dog” would swing side to side to try to find the right line to get ahead. Then in the forth lap along the back side My Main Man, My #1 Man positioned himself on the far right side of the last jump and leaped alongside the Yamaha, stayed along side and powered through the turn and left that Yamaha in his dust over the whoops to grab that beautiful checkered flag with a five length Fourth place win. And a Fourth place Overall!!!!! That was one hell of an exciting moto!!!! That last Jump took old Papa’s breath away..(check out the pix’s) That was fantastic racing Shorty!!!!!! Congratulations on the fourth place overall. Fourth out of fifteen of the best 85/100cc riders…Not too shabby “Nate Dog” On a recap for the weekend….My #1 Man was 3rd overall 85 senior and 6th overall in Supper Mini on Saturday, 3rd overall in 85 senior and 4th overall in Supper Mini on Sunday!!!!!
