It’s almost Chili time again! Do ya still think you have the best bowl of chili this side of the Yadkin? Come join us for the 8th Annual Chili Cook-off at Thomasville’s First Presbyterian Church. This year it is on Saturday, October 5th from 11 am until 2 pm. Your $5 admission entitles you to sample some or all the chilis or buy a bowl. Hot dogs will be available for visitors who can’t handle the chili. Desserts, bottled water and sodas will also be available. The Chili Chumps were returning champs last year after a one year lay-off. They are not only back as Champs, but the swagger is back as well. The Chumps say, “Bring on the heat…if you have any!!” Monkeez Brew, runners-up last year say, “Better watch your jalapenos; we have more than enough for you!” You be the judge! Visitor’s “vote” with their donations ($$) for the chili they think is best. These “votes” will go toward the People’s Choice Award. Proceeds from chili sales also go towards the People’s Choice Award. All proceeds go to Fairgrove Family Resource Center and three other food ministries in Thomasville.
