Ive just got back from the meeting regarding the cuts to TUC training at Blackburn College. Its disgusting what the college are doing and its obviously ideological in nature. The Blackburn venue is the closest training facility to us in Preston and Chorley and this will have a direct affect our ability to train our reps and therefore our ability to organise. Ive come back with some requests for action for both Chorley and Preston Trades Councils and all TU Branches in our area. I will forward these via e-mail to the Trades Council secretaries tomorrow. We need to all stand up and fight this blatant attack on Trade Unionism!
