Ive never been one to sit and read a book. Ive struggled with this my entire life, and when a group of my closest friends got together and committed to read Praying circles around your children, by Mark Batterson, I asked them to pray that I would have the discipline to read it. I didnt finish it as quickly as I should have, or make the time to read as I should have, but I just finished it. This is a fantastic book for parents and brought something to my attention I havent even considered.... First of all, pray about what to pray about. This is the first object of prayer. The purpose of prayer is not to outline OUR agenda for God; the purpose is to get into the presence of God and get GODs agenda for us. Total reality check when I consider the majority of my prayers consist of asking something OF God instead of coming into his presence and concentrating on what I can do FOR God. After all, how much more blessed will I be if I first see to HIS will being done and lay myself down for His service! Looking forward to our next Bro-Down Jeremy Holbrook Nick Joyce Brandon Brown
