James 3:1-6 is a warning to Teachers 3 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment. 2 For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well. 3 Now if we put the bits into the horses’ mouths so that they will obey us, we direct their entire body as well. 4 Look at the ships also, though they are so great and are driven by strong winds, are still directed by a very small rudder wherever the inclination of the pilot desires. 5 So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things.See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell. Verse 6 says the tongue is a fire/ sets on fire the course of our life and it is set on fire by hell. This is representative of a lying tongue, deceit (Psalm 120:2,3). In this verse it says course of our life or in some it says course of nature which is our beginning and in Hebrew and Yes, even in the Greek this term is called the cycle of Genesis ( The cycle of life...the beginning of all things!) course of nature is translated as cycle (wheel) of Genesis; It is the Hebrew word ofon which is actually where we get the word we use for fan, because it turns in cycles. The cycle of Genesis—YHUH established his cycles in the beginning (BRESHIYTH) He placed his righteousness from the very beginning by laying down His righteous path—His cycles and He said they were good—VERY GOOD! Now one of the MOST IMPORTANT Characteristic of YHUH is His Paths of righteousness which are called cycles. Cycles are the way in which our Father teaches us, it is by repetition. The Hebrew word (argol) which uses the Hebrew letters aleph (a), gimmel (g), and Lamed (L) and is referenced in Proverbs 4:25-27 25Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. 26Watch (ponder) the path of your feet And all your ways will be established. 27Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil. We are told to watch the path of our feet and ALL OUR WAYS will be established! Watch (guard, observe) the Path in Hebrew is agol (cycles) and feet (gimmel)....now in Hebrew the g sound is representative of the foot—-remove your foot from evil and just how do you move your foot from evil? You do so by pondering..watching the ways of YHUH (guarding, observing, honoring) which are his cycles (His days and times) Which are His Feasts and His Sabbaths. This means we honor Yahs days....NOT mans crooked path (not to the left or right (zig zaging all over the place) but we adhere to the righteous path...the straight and narrow! Every word in Hebrew that has a gimmel and a Lamed in it has something to do with rolling or making a cycle. This gives us the picture of a foot and walking in YHUHs cycles. Now what does this have to do with teachers? Because mans way are linear...never recalling, never going back to the beginning and teaching the beginning is done...gone away and we should NEVER look back to it! Yet we are told that in order to understand the end we are to look to the past for what once was will be again, just as in the days of Noah! Our ways should be represented by The Hebrew understanding of cycle (repetition) for this is how any parent teaches his child..by repeating things and then saying Have I Not told you this before? But man is teaching people mans ways which is represented by the children coming out of Egypt and the beginning of calf (idol) worship...the turning of the foot from doing YHUHs cycles and doing mans instead! This is the how the tongue sets on fire the course of nature (the beginning of all things) they completely do away with them (consume them) and their teachings are straight from the pits of hell with much deceit they lead men to take the wrong path (crooked one
