Jesus conquered sin and death. He turned mourning into dancing. To come into His holy presence is to know pure love and such joy that the heart is overwhelmed with gratitude. Think of who you were in sin, and where you would be now if Jesus had not made a way for you to approach His throne of grace. There are no sufficient words to express our thanks for His mercy. As he was one with the Father during his early ministry, so are we, as his disciples, one with him through the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is why, even during trials and hard times, we can be sure of his presence and thankful that Jesus is our constant source of living water that will never run dry. Happiness is fleeting, but life in Christ brings joy eternal.
