Jobiso walks into Equity bank and asks for the loans officer. He goes ahead and applies for a Kshs 10,000/- loan for a week drawing an interest of 4%. When asked for collateral he gives out the car keys for his sleek Range Rover sports. Loan processed pap and he saunters out, his car parked safely in the banks basement. After a trip to Italy hes back, pays the 10k plus 400/- interest. The bank staff are left wondering why an affluent-looking fella like Jobiso would borrow 10k. Jobisos reply; Where else would I have SAFELY parked my Range sports in CBD and be charged a paltry 400/- a week?
