John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not - TopicsExpress

John 14:27 - Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. Exodus 33:14 - And He said, My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. ATTENTION, NOW HERE THIS! The Lord does not wish that you work yourself to death, but He would rather you work hard then rest. Give your mind, body and spirit a chance to rejuvenate. Anxiety, worry, stress and overworking are some of the things we may face daily. We are only flesh and blood, we need a break! Some owners or bosses are afraid to be away from work a minute, they feel they will lose out on something or miss a dollar. Even some pastors say that they are so dedicated to God and congregation and will not take vacation when actually they want to know whats going on always and never miss a penny as well. People must realize that things can go on without them; Gods business can go on without certain people (He did it before us and He can do it after we’re gone). Of course, many may feel as I do and truly miss the worship, praise and fellowship when we are away, but God created the world in 6 days and on the 7th He rested, not because He needed rest but He was giving us an example to follow. He was showing that our land needs rest, our animals need rest and people need rest, amen? No, this is not a Get Out Of Church Pass; but merely a way of telling you all to enjoy yourselves sometime. Take your family! Enjoy your lives! We are here on earth only for a short time; the Lord wants us to enjoy what He created. Go on a long drive; fly to a tropical vacation site, go on a canoe trip, take a hiking trip or go to the mountains. Go to a large museum or go to a theme park. Go visit a relative out of state, go visit a beach town, rent a cabin with fireplace and Jacuzzi, go on a cruise or take a week off at home just to rest! Before you go anywhere, drop to your knees and pray. Ask God to take your burdens away, ask Him to bless your family, friends and enemies. Ask Him to renew His spirit within you. Give all your anxieties, worries, stress, aches, pain, tears, bills and fears to Him. Remember that God will be with you wherever you go! Praise Him and enjoy yourselves! Mark 6:31 - And He said to them, Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while. For there were many people coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat. Matthew 11:28-30 - Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.
