Joint Relief Efforts to the North reached 2000 families.... The Convoy of 6 vans and 2 trucks headed Northern Cebu last Saturday, Nov 16 to fulfil the first wave of Relief Efforts for the victims of Typhoon Hainan/Yolanda. We left at 5am dawn to trail the northernmost tip and distribute the food relief to at least 4 towns for as far as our goods can go. Altogether, the joint relief team was able to deliver as much as 2000 relief packs, P50,000 worth of medicines and P25,000 worth of doctor prescribed antibiotics/meds with a medical mission. The team reached interior barangays where little or no relief has reached. Remote barangays were badly damaged with homes and were too far from the road or any store to buy food. Along the way, there were many trucks and private vehicles dropping relief goods as well which was definitely good news. The spirit of sharing was all over the place. This mission does not stop here, Phase 2 -Rebuild begins soon. Kudos to the Joint relief team: Quota International of Metro Cebu (QIMC), Cebu Travel and Tours Association (CTTA), Cebu Association of Tour Operators (CATO) and National Association of Independent Travel Agents (NAITAS) TOGETHER WE CAN HELP. helpforvisayas.weebly/relief-updates.html
