Jonathan says the security situation in Nigeria couldve been worse if not for prayer! Its really sad that the C-in-C of our country never utters words that ooze inspiration! Words that you look back and proudly exclaim yeah, that is my president! But alas, the vast majority of people in this country share the same school of thought with him! Now I get what prayer is. Buying our presidents hogwash, could prayer be that thing that makes it possible for a man to lose four of his five children... but if not for prayer he could have lost five of them? According to our C-in-Cs warped thinking, Boko Haram would be slitting quadrillions of throats and bombing gazillions of people, if not for prayer? Where do they breed these people? Prayer, prayer, f*****g prayer!!! Read a story of an American killed few days ago in a church! A car (I think), driven by an old dude, went to hit her right where she was praying, in the church!!! Boko Haram bombs churches with impunity, while also gruesomely killing scores of praying people! Suicide bombers in Iraq have made it their stock in trade to bomb the hell out of praying worshippers in mosques! Then I ask? Is god able to stop this barbarism but not willing? Is he willing but not able? Why does he allow Boko Haram to go slash the throats of folks praying to him, in his house?! Is he telling the terrorists Go slaughter them, but Ill punish you later? Cant this omnipotent god put a halt to this bloodshed of his people? Its just... A plane crash occurs, killing scores of passengers. But the fortunate survivor somehow believes hes so special to be favoured and saved by skydaddy! The ones that died offended him to not be favoured and saved? Perhaps you think that mansion you just bought is the making of your prayer? The last time I checked, homeless people do also pray! In the Netherlands, majority dont pray, yet prisons are being closed because of the drastic drop in criminality. The Scandinavian countries of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark are the envy of the world when it comes to their most favourable standard of living! Yet many dont pray! Japanese people dont pray, but the less said about Japans economy, the better. Prayer will never stop rain from pouring, neither can it cause rain to fall! It can never stem the tide of nature! The snake-holding pastor that died in the US could have had his life saved, but he rejected medical attention! He believed faith-based prayer would cure him! Prayer to bind witches, prayer to kill the demons delaying your destiny, prayer to rain brimstone on your enemies, prayer to procure Visa; bro, are you not tired of the endless rambling? The American prays or not, hell achieve whatever he wants to achieve! Prayer really negates the omniscience attribute of skydaddy. If you believe god knows what youll become in life, whats the essence of prayer? If you believe god already knows a man would be poor, why should the man pray? Two teams about to play a match are praying, which one should god answer? Does he say, look, Im not interfering, or he answers the prayers of one of them? Let Tahiti, or Kiribati, or Tuvalu pray from now till eternity, none of them will ever beat Brazil in the game of football! So much for prayers efficacy!
