July 8, 2014 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything. Deuteronomy 2:7 For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Habakkuk 2:3 Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3 You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers, as it is this day. Deuteronomy 8:18 July 8, 2014 - It Will Surely Come - For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. And in order for it to survive - there will have to be change. Dont copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know Gods will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Dont try to make sense out of the situation - just move with God and as God leads and directs. For in a flash - It Will Surely Come. Awaken each day with great anticipation. Walk each day in optimism. See the glass as half full. Let your hope run high. And know that the air is electric and filled with many many possibilities. Stop worrying about the closed doors and move through the hallway towards the many many open doors that lie before you. Just remember with growth comes change. It Will Surely Come - Have you ever been given a vision by God that seems like it will not come to pass? The waiting turns from days to years. I, too, am at that place in God. I am waiting for the fulfillment of His promises spoken to me. God may have given a word to you about the salvation of a loved one, about going forth in your ministry, about a new home, about a financial breakthrough, about a godly mate, about healing for yourself or someone you know, or about a new business venture. Whatever the vision He has put in your heart and spirit, know that He will bring it to pass in His timing. I have learned in my walk with God that He answers in three ways: Yes, No, and Wait. The answer Wait is sometimes hard for me to comprehend. How long must I wait, Lord? God responded to me by His Holy Word: Psalm 27:14 tells us - Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. I am learning that the waiting process is not all bad. In this process God is molding me to become more like Him and making me ready for His promises. He is stretching me in my faith and allowing me to trust Him more, regardless of how the circumstances seem to be playing out in the natural. I am surrendering daily and waiting for the promise. As a sister in the Lord, I encourage you as well. As you are waiting for His promise to you to be fulfilled, let Him be glorified through you. As you are continue to trust in His perfect timing, though it tarry, wait for it. It will surely come to pass. It will not tarry. It Will Surely Come - God is all about changing lives. He can help you through any storm, and take you from where you are to where you want to be. Dare to ask for it - Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now glory be to God, by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” If you want God’s blessing on your life this year, you must dare to ask for it. You must say, “God, what’s your dream for my life? What do you want me to do?” Then you ask yourself, “What would I attempt for God if I knew I couldn’t fail?” Let that expand your vision. Believe Gods promises - the Bible says in Jeremiah 32:27 - “I am the LORD, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” Never let an impossible situation intimidate you. Let it motivate you to pray more, believe more, trust more, experience more, learn more, and grow more. Faith always works in the realm of the impossible. Dream Big -Psalm 2:8 tells us - “Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.” The size of your God should determine the size of your goal. You haven’t really believed God until you’ve attempted something that can’t be done in the power of the flesh. If you want to know how big your dream should be, ask yourself two questions: How much time do you have to give to it? If it’s a dream you can give the rest of your life to, then you can really dream big. Dream great dreams for God. It’s the first step in your walk of faith. It Will Surely Come - If you want to achieve the goals you’ve made for yourself, you’ll need a plan to get from where you are to where you want to go. You’ll need a plan to overcome the expected problems you’ll face on that journey. Good planning — whether that plan is for your family, your work, your ministry, or a different area of your life — has three parts to it: 1) Steps: You need to establish how you are going to get from where you are now to where you want to go. Write down those steps. 2) Deadlines: Put a date with every one of those steps. A goal is a statement of faith as you say that you believe God wants you to accomplish your goal by a particular date. 3) Schedule: Write those dates into your calendar. Don’t just hide it in a filing cabinet or up on a shelf. Show me what’s on your calendar, and I’ll tell you what’s important to you. Studies show that only 5 percent of Americans have written down goals for their lives. Those same studies show that the same 5 percent are the highest wage earners in the U.S. Successful people set their direction and go for it. It Will Surely Come - The Bible urges us not to look to our own strength to reach our goals. The truth is, you don’t have to have big faith to accomplish huge goals either. You just need a little faith — in a big God! Your God is the God of the universe. He can do anything. Are you ready to trust God for the unbelievable? Begin to focus on a few key goals, then you can make a powerful impact on the world for God. Begin today to embrace Gods best. In order to reach your goals, you have to figure out how to maintain your enthusiasm over the long haul. Romans 12:11-12 tells us - “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Nothing great is ever accomplished without enthusiasm.” I believe that with all of my heart. I have found it to be true in my life. You’ve got to have passion, you’ve got to have enthusiasm, or you’re never going to make it to the finish line.Most people would consider me an enthusiastic person, and I am. But I haven’t been an enthusiastic person for a week or a month. My enthusiasm has not waned over a year or five or 10 years. I have been consistently enthusiastic about the goals that I’ve set for more than 15 years now and at times it seems a long way off for then when I look up and I see the vastness of the sky - the fullness of it all - I know that my God can do all things - anything and everything and that It Will Surely Come. How do you do that? How do you stay enthusiastic day after day in spite of delays and difficulties and dead ends and problems and pressures and criticisms? Positive thinking is not enough. Pulling yourself up by your psychological bootstraps is not enough. Talking yourself into optimism is not enough. The way you stay enthusiastic for a lifetime is found in the word “enthusiasm.” The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Greek word en theos. En is the Greek word for the English word “in.” Theos is the Greek word for “God.” So en theos means to be “in God.” When you get in God, you will be enthusiastic. It’s the kind of enthusiasm that isn’t affected by the economy or the weather or your circumstances. It’s eternal because you are tied to the eternal God. You are in Christ. I said to self - self if you want to reach your goals this year, you need to get God’s power by being joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer. It Will Surely Come - God has promised many wonderful benefits in your life if you will meditate on the Word of God and then do it. The Bible says in Philippians 2:16 - “Hold firmly to the Word of Life.” No matter what you’re going to face this next week, you’re not going to face it alone. God is with you, He is in you, and He is for you. Get up every morning and say, “God, thank you that you’re going to be with me today, you’re going to be in me today, and you’re going to be for me today.” God will bring out your best as you follow your calling. If you’re going to fulfill your calling, you must develop the gifts God gave you. If you’re going to fulfill your calling, you must refuse to be distracted. If you’re going to fulfill your calling, you must give God your very best. Gods unlimited resources are available to you. It Will Surely Come - Father, thank You for taking me from glory to glory. I trust that You are leading me on a journey of faith. I trust that You are bringing to pass every dream and every desire You’ve placed in my heart. Father, thank You for Your grace and mercy on my life. Thank You for empowering me to overcome every obstacle and press past every mountain. Father, thank You for calling and equipping me. Thank You for giving Your angels charge over me to protect and guide me. I will declare Your Word over my life and choose to honor You in all I do. Father, I release all of my cares and anxieties on You. I trust that my breakthrough is coming. I choose to press in and not give up until I see my miracle. Father, thank You for Your resurrection power at work in my life. Today, I give to You my broken dreams, disappointments, failures and setbacks, trusting that Your resurrection power is at work in me. I trust that You have a good plan for my future, and You are leading me into total victory . Father God, thank You for completing what You started in my life. I trust that no matter how dark things may seem, You are my shining light of hope. I thank You for working behind the scenes to carry me through to the place of victory in every area of my life. Father, thank You for giving me victory! Thank You for Your Word which is life and healing water to my soul. I choose to set my heart and thoughts on You, knowing that You are empowering me to overcome. It Will Surely Come.
