Just finished dinner with my family and good friends. I am incredibly thankful for all of them. Im headed to work right now and the thought occurred to me, with all the well wishes going out to the troops this year, I am proud to be going to stand the watch. Part of it is because the people standing watch next to me also made the choice to miss family and friends this year... to stand the watch. We know what it is to serve, and for years we have been thanked for it by the best of you. Tonight I want to return the praise. Thank you America for bring something I am proud to stand watch for. Thank you to our allies around the world for standing watch next to us. Thank you to the people who make life in and live freely in whichever country they are in. Special thanks to my friends and family in Slovakia. Thank you to you, because you are what makes it OK for us to leave our family to stand watch tonight. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. We have the watch. Thank you.
