Just got back from diving tuna alley . Saw a shit load of big fish GTs from 100lbs down to 20lbs . Saw coral trout groupers blue fins napoleons and a lot of dogies . Most every thing was to deep for me so I went closer to shore unhooked my float line from my gun so I could go after a bump head and just as I was getting down to him . About 10 or 12 dogies came buy . Needles to saw I lined up thinking I should put my float line to my gun but then thought you will not have time so I aimed and took the shot . He took out like a shot and was spooling me fast . I got to the top and tried to hold him and get my float line off my back to clip on the reel line but to late . He hit the end of my line and yanked the gun out of my hand . I watched i with it till it was all gone . I swam abound thinking I just redid that gun . It was pretty and gone . Luckily Takuji saw it and grabbed it when it wrapped around a coral head some 30 to 35 meters down . Non of us could dive down to it so I had to cut the line as deep as Takuji could go . He saved me my gun and all but about 15 meters of line and shaft . Soon we saw a big ass Z coming in on us to check us out . The tuna was still way down at the bottom but the Z seem to be more interested in us . What a day lost a shaft saw some big fish didnt catch any thing but still beats a day at work lol .
