Just had a hilarious conversation with a parking enforcement goon in West Hollywood. I (admittedly), due to overpacked parking, parked in a permit only street spot for five minutes to make a bank deposit. As I was grabbing a check out of my backseat, this officer drove past me and didnt say a word. On the walk to the bank, I passed him giving a ticket to another poor fool, he looked at me, and I couldnt help myself. I gave him a thumbs down and told him it was extortion. Then I realized I should high tail it because he could probably ticket me. Not 3 minutes later, I walked back up to my car to see he had magically decided to give me that ticket. Now seriously, its fine. As absurd as parking regulations are, I acknowledge I violated one of the thousands of codes. But naturally, I followed him, caught him violating the same code as I was and had a chat, asking him why he waited to give me the ticket until after I offended him. Lots of I can do whatever I wants ensued and a lovely, glaring gap in logic. Ill share the video next week :) AGAIN, Im not mad about the ticket, but sort of giddy at the way it was given and his justification. So many lols :D
