Just putting a hard object on your head, that you may call a helmet, does not mean you are wearing very much protection. Watch for GoggleOutlets upcoming post on helmet design and fit. There are just so many BADLY designed helmets and even more that are not fit properly. Just because a big company made your helmet it does not mean they know the 1st thing about helmet design and safety, chances are they did nothing more than pic a helmet from a manufacturers standard catalog and produce it with their name on it, then market it to you (they did not do the actual design, few helmet-sellers do their own designs beyond the graphics). Dan, the founder of SportCamZ and GoggleOutlet built the 1st ever helmet-cam, he may have been the 1st recreation skier to ski with a helmet along with 2 of his buddies (in 10th grade) on Hunter Mountain in 1974 (Easy Rider stars-n-stripes) ... he also spent the last 12 years researching helmet designs and safety while doing an accident reconstruction and analysis after the death of 10-year-old Tommy Nelson. There is no replacement for 1st hand knowledge ... reconstructing the death of a helmet-wearing 10-year-old skier, due to head trauma, and then spending the next 12 years researching the issues, designs, materials, problems and solutions ...
