KCI CRUISE NEEDS DONATIONS Sept. 13, 3pm Ambassador Building 12200 NW Ambassador Drive (east of KCI and I-29) (current WireCo and former Farmland headquarters) KCI Cruise Nights (where classic, muscle and special interest cars are parked and people walk around and look at and talk about cars) are fund raisers for the City of Kansas City, Missouri’s Combined Charities program, which bundles a variety of local, regional and national charities. To generate this funding for charity, the department charges for food and beverage and for chances to win prizes, and charges for sponsorships, banners and exhibit space. Prizes are donated by tenants and area businesses. KCI concessionaire HMS Host donates hot dogs and chips and its employees volunteer to cook. Each cruise draws an estimated 500 show cars and 300 spectator cars with more than 1,000 attendees and generates more than $2,000 for charity. We want to beat that number each cruise! We ask that you consider a donation of a goods or service of significant value or have an exhibit. If your prize donation is valued at $50 or greater, we will give you the opportunity for on-site promotion such as a display, banner, etc. If you opt not to donate prizes and wish to have a display or promotion at the events, there will be a $50 exhibit fee. For any donation, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt. You are welcome to invite employees, customers, friends or family to the events (admission is free). We just ask that, if you sell anything, you give a portion of the proceeds to our charity.
