LOCAL FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS EARN SPOT ON AOPA FLIGHT TRAINING HONOR ROLL Manassas VA. Aviation Adventures is pleased to announce that the following instructors have been recognized for their high standard of flight instruction by The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world’s large aviation association. Samir Abdallah, Nathan Bagge, Raymond De Haan, Michael Gilbert, David Keran, Elias Kontanis, Keir Kucera, Taylor Price, Cason Romano, Mike Schwartz and Brent Tuchler have been awarded a spot on the Flight Training Excellence Awards Honor Roll, a title given to high scoring flight instructors from AOPA’s 2014 Flight Training Poll. The Flight Training Excellence Awards were created to highlight the best the flight training industry has to offer. “We feel it’s important to recognize flight training providers, like these Aviation Adventures Instructors who create a quality customer experience and instill a lifelong passion for aviation among their students.” said Brittney Miculka, director of pilot community development for AOPA. To select the award winners, AOPA invited those who have taken flight training within the last 24 months to complete the Flight Training Excellence Poll. Each individual could nominate up to one flight school and one flight instructor. The online poll was conducted from June 3 to August 23, using a process that contains several safeguards designed to ensure fair competition. Winners of the 2014 Flight Training Excellence Awards were chosen from thousands of individual poll completions. Schools and instructors were evaluated on a quantitative poll and qualitative open-ended questions about the customers first impressions, community building, features to emulate at other training facilities, and more. Here are some of the numbers: • There were 3,600 poll completions. • The poll consisted of 39 questions evaluating everything from the syllabus to community building. • 1,447 unique flight schools and 1,500 unique flight instructors were evaluated. Aviation Adventures won the Student’s Choice Award for having received the most poll completions, the only school in the award program’s history to win the award.
