Landed back from Peshawar this morning, went there after 23 years - TopicsExpress

Landed back from Peshawar this morning, went there after 23 years and absolutely love the city and people, the same way I loved it the first time... The most of our conversations were about the cleanliness, calmness, and peacefulness of the city, resilience of its people, how they have buried the horrible past and their will to build the city again... We saw the buildings burnt from bomb blasts and terrorist attacks... A thought came across my mind how haunting these building must have been for the family members of ones who lost their loved ones in those attacks. And the first thing I heard after landing in Karachi when phones started to ring while we were still on runway was that 15 kids have been killed in a school attack and the operation was in progress... The news of Army Public School attack has broken my heart into million pieces.. My siblings and I had spent 2 years of our educational life in its old campus... Heart goes out to the families who have lost their most valuable possession.. As a mother I just cant even begin to imagine the pain... I hope and pray that once and for all this puts the Talibans are our disgruntled brothers slogan to rest. People who kill 130+ innocent kids are NOT my family. May these terrorists rot in deepest pit of hell.
