Last Sunday, Joshua and I were driving up to deer camp, being followed by our friend Eric. There was quite the amount of snow on the roads and we were coming up to a stop sign. Josh noticed that when he started to pump his breaks, that we were sliding and not slowing down at all, what he also noticed was another car coming at the cross section, and they did not have to stop. Having never been in a major accident, I was pretty scared at this point... because impact would have been my door. My husband, gunned the truck, turned sideways and then we went into the ditch.... missing every single tree, missing the stop sign on the other side of the road and making it safely back onto the road, like nothing had ever happened. Josh is a great driver, and he assessed the situation quite well, but I feel we had something a little stronger with us that day than just his quick thinking. God watches us everywhere. And he protects his children.
