Last night at the BOE meeting, (which was intentionally held in a small venue to discourage public participation), the public was informed that Dr Morton will be presenting his recommendation for the future of our district on Feb 5. LAST year, based upon the information distributed by the district and the recommendations of the superintendent, the VOTERS decided the future of this district. The board then, disregarding the outcry of the public in attendance, appointed a new board member who will aid them in pushing through their private aganda. In not acknowledging thst Congers Elementary will come back online as a school, the BOE is clearly stating that the will of the voters doesnt matter. One man stood up...not in support of, or against the status of Congers Elementary..and stated we dont need a war within the district and advised the board to really consider their future actions. Unfortunately, it seems this board has little regard for the voters, and less regard for the over 6 million of our money that they are WASTING if they do not utilize that building. Can we really afford to fight lawsuits and failed bonds? Our children deserve every possible dime going towards their education, instead will we squander our money on political pandering?
