Leo is a 12-month-old baby boy whose former owners thought he might as well die, because they had a new baby of their own. Never mind that Leo had been living with kids of all ages; never mind that they admitted, on the intake sheet, that Leon gets along fine with kids; never mind that dogs and kids have lived together for millenia. This poor guy went from being a pet, to a potential landfill ornament, in the space of a heartbeat. No wonder he earned a New Hope rating, as scared and confused as he must be.
