Lesson 3 of SMI: Reflection Thank you Boss Chuan and Randy for the insightful sharing. Todays main takeaway for me is that our mind is strong and powerful not just capable of affecting us but those around us. I could relate what Ive experience in life. Since young, I was conditioned by family and the environment not to dream. When we were young, we daydreamed and we had so much creativity thats in us generated by our brain. Along the way, as we developed our mindset after being in the influences of our family, friends and the environments, well realise that our life becomes boring. I used to dream of becoming someone useful to people whom i was going to meet. Although Ive had no idea what Ill be, that dream had always been part of me. Ive to admit that along the way, I started to doubt myself. Education system hadnt been friendly for dreamer like me. We were conditioned that dreaming wouldnt lead to anywhere in life, we were told that the world has scarcity in resources instead of abundance, we were put in the environment that mistakes and failures are fatals. We were conditioned that what weve learned in school are important......to your academic report card, but that defeated the purpose of school as a learning institution. That conditioned me to not believing my own ability and not to realise my own dream, and that is still my stump. After todays lesson, Ive learnt the power of our mind and how we must understand our condition in order to recondition ourselves which would then allow us to recondition others. We can recondition ourselves by the influences of our environment, for we can choose who we want to mix around with. It is henceforth important to mix with positive people.
