Catch him if you can. - KRISTY APPS has long been considered one of Brisbane’s most consistently impressive artists, effortlessly moving between genres showcasing her exact and heartfelt songwriting ability and always delivering authenticity and presence to any stage she graces. Now KRISTY APPS has found a new place in music with her stellar alt country/folk band The Shotgun Shirleys and a stunning new self-titled EP produced by ARIA winning performer and producer, Shane Nicholson. To make the record, the band headed south and spent the best part of a week tracking the songs live in the studio with acclaimed songwriter and producer Shane Nicholson who Kristy says was “…so laid back but has this innate understanding of recording and producing music.” Working with Kristy and the band was a breezy gig for me, I just turned on a microphone, drank some coffee and listened to them play music for three days. And then they paid me!
