Library to host workshop Promoting your business on the Pure Michigan website – michigan.org Carol Royse, from Travel Michigan, will be at the Plymouth District Library for a free workshop on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 from 8 – 10 a.m. Area business owners and managers will learn how to create and update listings on the Pure Michigan website: michigan.org. The Pure Michigan website, sponsored by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), is the number-one-visited travel/tourism website in the country. It is also the official Michigan travel website. Tourism industry members who fit the Pure Michigan criteria, are eligible for free promotional opportunities on the Pure Michigan website. This workshop will teach the mechanics of how to update or add listings on the Pure Michigan website, to include photos, events, and much more. The MEDC gathers data to report online activity to listed businesses quarterly . Go to plymouthlibrary.org for participation criteria. This free educational opportunity is geared for those in the tourism industry including (but not limited to): hotel and lodging facilities, attractions, museums, festivals and events, golfing, dining and shopping, farmers markets and more. This event is sponsored by the City of Plymouth Downtown Development Authority, Plymouth Township, the Plymouth Community Chamber of Commerce, and the Plymouth District Library. Those attending are encouraged to bring laptop computers, photos, and details on current and future packages.
