Lou Lenhart received a packet of information today from my Uncle Gary DeCamp. I guess before Aunt Marie passed away she had been in contact with a Marjorie Saxton, granddaughter of Mary Elizabeth (Yoh) Hubbard. I have a printed out picture of Joshua Yoh and his siblings. The packet of information states that the original Yoh surname was spelled Joo and that the ancestral homeland was Gyor Hungary. It says that there were 4 brothers that fled from Hungary and settled in Germany and the Netherlands. Within the notes it states the latter was researched by V. Pres. of RCA. Whatever that means. When they fled to America they split up. One group settled in Redding, PA. George Yoh was the first settler of Redding, PA. Group two settled in NW Ohio and Michigan. Our family line came from Seneca Co., OH. I guess they lived on property south of Tiffin, OH. There is a couple of other printed out pics. One of which is of Alice Grubaugh. Attached to the picture is a hand written letter to Marjorie Saxton by Alice Grubaugh. Pretty cool. Id scan these and post them but I am afraid of how well they would turn out. Mom wants to try and contact this Marjorie Saxton. I found another name to try and contact as well hidden in the packet of information. I dont know if she would have any more information as it is connected to the Hubbard family. They were having a family reunion. Thought you all would enjoy the little bit of information we found.
