Love this! HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!! ~RG LISA!! Im gonna write my own birthday post. 40. Yep. Its a big one. This year I decided to give myself the gift of fitness for my birthday. 2 years ago, I was 82lbs. heavier and would lay awake at night listening to my pounding heart and wonder when it was going to quit on me. I struggled with depression, physical pain and just general misery doing everyday things. I had no idea who the person I had become was and desperately needed to find me again... to save myself. Progressively, I began to turn my life around and make changes. Small changes. Big changes. I began to work harder and harder at carving the me I knew I could be out of the sad person that I was. Here I am today. 40. For the first time in my life I can refer to myself as an athlete. My body has proved to be capable of more than I ever imagined. Ive rediscovered passion and started living life again. Here I am today, 40, in the best shape of my life. Im pretty sure this is the best gift Ive ever gotten. Thanks to all who supported me and encouraged me. And now Im off... you know why? Because according to my training plan, not only do I need to run 7 miles, but its also leg day and I really couldnt think of a better way to start this off. 40. Lets do this.
