Lukes Gospel chapter 4:38-44 truly displays our action at this time of uncertainty and confusion. We are not to destroy our faith but to further enhance it. For He not only laid hands on the sick to heal them but the devils went out from many, saying: Thou art the Son of God:... interestingly the people stayed with Him that He should not depart from them. Now compare and contrast this with His Divine presence in the HOLY EUCHARIST? Allow the people to reverence their Lord and Saviour for if you make little of the anointed hands of Priests you undermine the Faith of many and of course the believe in the REAL PRESENCE OF JESUS AMONGST HIS FLOCK. History has it that during the Bubonic plague or the Black Death, the church witnessed great Faith and heroic life of both Priests and Laity as they not only showed love for Christ in the EUCHARIST but where prepared to reach out to the ill. Note this the Black Death wiped out 60% of Europeans and it takes just 4 days to affect its victim. All put together we should all prepare for our Eternal Soul instead of undermining our means of Salvation. Lord be merciful - Lord hear our prayers.
