MEET MASTER ARTleader BISAI YA My pieces are ethereal and heavy between use of acrylics and oil; i play a lot on light and shadow approaches using moderate strokes applied unto matte surfaces. Many of which were made mostly in my transcendental moods where I delve on the spontaneity of my subject with no pre-meditational rituals. Master ARTleader Bisai Ya said about her art, Id like to create pieces that are uniquely individualistic yet distinguishable by my choice of light toned palettes and colors of choice. I would create pieces that do not utilize so much space, lines, curves or colours to accentuate my inner feelings. I stick to very minimalistic expression where less is more! Bisai, a contemporary painter from the Philippines, is a fortysomething marketing consultant by day. Her other passions are creative writing and creating business strategies for business that she believes can expand forward to greatness. She currently provide expert assistance to companies mostly in hotel, travel and tourism and event management. Bisais core competencies in marketing management, branding and advertising allows her to support her artistic endeavors. She takes penchant in digital work mainly in Social Engine Optimization (SEO) and Social Media Optimization (SMO) which she is currently pursuing to study more to aid her vast work in marketing including her online charity art auction initiatives. In 2010, her formal return to art and painting, she was adjudged as Top 5 in Singapores Best of Asia Art Competition (BOAA) garnering Top 5 spot amongst worldwide entries from artist submissions all over the globe. In June 2012, as she formally enters the Philippine art scene, Bisai was one of five Filipino artists worldwide that was able to showcase her work in New Yorks biggest group art exhibition where two art pieces of hers were exhibited for public display on the giant video and LED billboards in Times Square, New York, USA (the first of its kind in the art world). The following year Bisai has been cited in June 2013 by The New York Optimist (TNYO) an online publication based in New York where she became the first Filipino artist to be featured in the art section featuring her body of works. Her works were discovered by New York based Fine Art Photographer Heidi Russell and Publisher John Sebastian on several postings she shared using the social media facebook. Bisai has not had her solo art show as yet, but is hopeful she will embark on its fruition this year 2014 where she has prepared several pieces for exhibition purposes. She looks forward to staging collaborative exhibits with fellow artists and art galleries in Philippines and abroad. Very soon her work will be represented by a contemporary art gallery in Canada beginning last quarter of this year.
