MENACE BEACH play Twisterella Festival in Middlesbrough tomorrow: seetickets/go/twisterella “There’s good reason why central duo Ryan Needham and Liza Violet’s incoming debut album is among this year’s most anticipated British DIY scene releases: like a violently unhinged Dinosaur Jr, few other bands right now pack the same scuzzy adrenaline fix.” NME Magazine Leeds based fuzz-pop band Menace Beach boast a revolving cast of Yorkshire luminaries in their line up, including MJ of Hookworms on lead guitar, Nestor Matthews of Sky Larkin on drums, Robert Lee of Pulled Apart By Horses on guitar, Matt Spalding on bass and, very occasionally, Paul Draper (ex-Mansun) on guitar and back up vocals. Expect a kaleidoscopic vision of fuzzed out, dischordant pop akin to Built To Spill, Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, The Dandy Warhols and Sebadoh.
