MORNING TONIC: TRUSTING THROUGH THE STORM (2Cor. 4:7, Rom. 8:28) “After all I had invested in sincere love and commitment he (she) still jilted me, can I still bank on God?”; “despite being this dedicated and already sharing my testimony in faith of a successful outcome, I still failed.” Trust Him still! “I married him (her) believing him to be the sincerest person one can ever meet, now despite all my plea to be more sacrificial in our marriage, he (she) threatens divorce,” trust Him still!! “How on earth could it be that I am in God’s good thoughts and plans, considering that, I waited for 3 years before admission, I’ve consistently had less-than-excellent grades despite my diligence, and now that I’m already prospecting greater plans just after my certification, then comes this ASUU strike or whatever they say it is, to truncate my plans; can I really still trust Him in this stormy sail.” Can it really be true that EVERYTHING works together for our GOOD? Can there any good, worth celebrating come out of all that? Yes brother! Undoubtedly sister! It was all turning negatives for Joseph in spite his lofty dreams, it was not any rosy for David despite being anointed by most revered “Prophet Sammy”, arguably, you couldn’t have maintained as much integrity and suffered greater tribulation as Job did. They could have doubted if things could ever work out, however they chose to trust still, and alas! Things did work out fine, and it brought great testimonies than anyone could ever imagine, hence we remember them today for their epic victory. They trusted through the storm, they didn’t give up on God, “You aint gonna give up either”, you have come too far to relapse in regret and compromise, Press on! Soon you shall emerge in victory unprecedented, and exceeding glory in Christ’s name. Amen.
