~MY JOURNEY WITH MULTIPLE MYELOMA CANCER~ *Note: This is an entry from my journal dated Dec.. 2001 * Saturday 12/15/01 5:45 am Up to get breakfast started before Chad has to leave in time to get his rental car back to Athens. * 8:25 am Reading the word for guidance and strength to meet this new day..the chemotherapy is working on my stomach..hurts so bad...reading I Peter 4:16-19 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this manner: ....let them that suffer according to the will of God, commit the keeping of their souls to Him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator... recalling that suffering will be a part of this sinful world..Lord, You never planned it that way for You created a perfect world...keep me infection free and always trusting You in all circumstances. * 3:30 pm I called my cousin Donna to check on Aunt Mary.. Called my sister Kay and had a good conversation.. Called Robbie but missed her. Opening Christmas cards. Aunt Allie Mae sent us $100... Buddy and Janice sent us $1000..we are humbled & overwhelmed at our familys generosity! I ache in my soul at the love and provision of our Father! Lord how can I stand anymore!! So many have given generously to help with medical bills. * 6 pm Our friends the Glenns came by for a visit and a sandwich * 7:45 pm Stomach continues to hurt...Morphine 15 mg * 8:15pm More Morphine.... * 10 pm Father help my pain to resolve.... To bed.
