Made a stop at the hardware store after dropping Rosaleigh off tonight. Ill blame this one on hormones, (may be that I am missing my older kids, Paisley, my parents or it could be the many good changes going on with my family) or a combination of things, but I walked down the electrical aisle and saw wire splitters/cutters and burst into tears. My dad gave me a tool box for Christmas one year when i was 22 or 23 and inside he had individually wrapped every single tool even the most skilled contractor would want. One of which were a pair of wire cutters. He said I would need every tool in there at some point in my life. He was right! I still have them and used them to do renovations on this old house. But I paused for about 30 seconds to think about how much fun he said he had picking all those tools out for me. I love the simple pleasures my dad had. It just made me cry. Geesh :-)
