Magistrate Says Bassa Is On Course For the Senatorial Elections By Johnson Bobby Liway, LINA Grand Bassa County Correspondent BUCHANAN, December 19 (LINA) –The National Elections Commission (NEC) Grand Bassa County Senior Magistrate, James K. Cordor, has said all is set for the holding of the midterm Senatorial Elections in Grand Bassa County. In an interview with the Liberia News Agency at his Fairground Office in Buchanan Thursday, Cordor said deployment of voting materials, pool workers and security personnel were going on across the county. Cordor said the commission has deployed 1,690 pool workers at the 347 polling stations and 176 precincts in the county and has also issued accreditation to political party observers. “All I want for the people of Bassa to do on Saturday is to turn out in a peaceful manner to vote for the candidate of their choice,” he said. Five candidates including the incumbent Senator Gbehzongar, Findley are vying for the Grand Bassa County Senatorial seat on December 20. The five aspirants include Siokin C. Barsi-giah of the Alternative National Congress (ANC), Gbehzongar M. Findley independent, Jonathan L. Kaipay of Liberty Party, Solomon J. Murray of Congress of Democratic Change (CDC) and Gabriel B. Smith; independent candidate. LINA
