Mama question- Can you post anon? My little girl is 2 days old, born via c-section after 36 hours of labor. She came out a little jaundice, Coombs test positive and total bilirubin elevated. She has been under phototherapy lights since about 8 hours old. I have only been allowed to take her out every 3 hours for a half hour feeding. We are trying to get it together but she doesnt latch great and overall we are just having difficultly. Because of her condition we have been supplementing formula given via dropper. I really feel like giving up. Anyone been through this or something similar and could share some advice? The lactation consultant had been great! I think the issue is the stress of knowing she needs to get a certain amount or fluid to help flush out her system. We are hoping to get her done with phototherapy by tomorrow and then I can try nursing on demand. Kristen
