Mamo is one week into healing from her surgery! Her medical team was really nice. We went to the coast before (thank you R-evolution Gardens!) and she is home relaxing and getting stronger each day on the porch surrounded by the garden and birds. She will be having additional treatment, starting with radiation in September as they removed 18 lymph nodes, 11 were cancerous, (4+ is high). The chemotherapy had a great effect on the main tumor, but the way it worked, combined with the Triple Negative type of breast cancer, means it may still be there. With her oncologist well be looking into the possibility of a shorter round of more experimental chemo or a clinical trial. There is time to research and decide and in the meantime... to Enjoy summer, regain strength and CELEBRATE getting to this major point in the adventure!!! We are full of plants and seeds for your upcoming fall and winter crops, oodles of perennial fruit plants and so much more. Garlic, cover crop seed and flower bulbs coming soon, too! : )
